Lent Service in Holy Trinity Church

Today we shall be going to a Lent Church service in church. Each class has created a presentation for everyone to enjoy. Class Four have are going to share with everyone what we have thought about Lent. We investigated what Lent is and it meaning for homework. We found some extraordinary and cool facts that you might not know, for instance ...

"Did you know Lent is 46 days, but not including Sundays?"

"Lent is an old English word meaning lengthen."

"The last week of Lent is called Holy Week."

The Reverend Hugh is leading the service in church with help from Miss Reynolds and the school.

Swedish Choir Visit The School

This morning we had a special visit from a Swedish Choir, Reverend Hugh White introduced them and gave us a talk on the origins of the choir. The choir sang beautifully, it was a very moving performance. At the end we sang ‘Once in Royal David’s City,’ ‘It was on a Starry Night,’ and ‘Go Tell it on the Mountain,’ to them. Some parents, Governors and villagers came to watch and enjoyed tea and biscuits.
