Stone Farm Residential 2024

Day 1

All settled in well to their rooms and unpacked and beds made. Great afternoon in waterproofs getting to know farm animals and site. Ate loads for dinner which was delicious. A few have learnt the merits of my favourite chip butty! Enjoyed hay bale maze and games rooms before story, hot chocolate and bed. A fairly early night for day one. All ready and breakfasted (after cuddles with the animals) for today's adventure!

Day 2

Another great day. We visited the Eden Project and loved it. Faces of sheer awe and amazement! In the afternoon, more time with the animals and then another amazing dinner.  All are eating well. We enjoyed  a camp fire and toasted marshmallows last night and songs- some budding pop stars before hot chocolate, story and bed and quickly to sleep. Today we are off to the beach after completing our animal jobs. Missing you all.

Love Years 5 and 6 and Co.

Day 3

Another great day. Yesterday, animal time and then off to the beach. A picnic on the beach and some time there together. Back to base with some time to sketch Hedgwick the Africa  Barn Owl!  Dinner and then disco/games. A smattering of snow is on the ground here from last night (the type that turns to slush when children are near). All settled well and are packed ready for the journey home and, as I type, are all still asleep. They are all exhausted so do not be surprised if they simply want to snooze when they get home. We are sure they will have exciting tales to tell when they have recharged their batteries.

Thank you for supporting this adventure, Huge congratulations to all of the children for making this such a wonderful week. It has been a joy and honour to see them enjoy their residential.
