Art & Design and Technology - Curriculum Intent

Our art and design curriculum engages, inspires and challenges our children using skills to produce creative work and to develop their artistic ideas. Our children use skills and knowledge to become proficient in drawing, painting and sculpture. Our curriculum enables children to learn with a real life context to create structures, mechanisms, textiles and food products. We believe every child is creative and we encourage children to grow using their knowledge and ideas whilst exploring a wide variety of media. Children enjoy learning about great artists, visiting galleries and museums to enrich their cultural awareness.
